The primary purpose of as-built drawings is to provide a precise historical record of the construction, which is invaluable for the future operation, maintenance, modification, or demolition of the asset. The activities from our team will consist of site survey to capture all field changes, whether they were minor adjustments. Without accurate as-builts, any future work on the facility could be significantly potentially hazardous due to unknown conditions. These marked-up drawings are then formally compiled and often redrafted by our design team and a specialized drafter into the final "as-built" set.
